Airport Hosts TLC from CLT Kitten Cuddle

August 8, 2018- CLT, in partnership with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's (CMPD) Animal Care & Control, hosted a Kitten Cuddle Wednesday, August 8 in the Atrium on International Cat Day. The event was part of Charlotte Douglas International Airport's TLC from CLT program, an initiative to thank passengers for choosing CLT and to extend the Airport's own dose of tender loving care (TLC) to travelers.

Several felines were on site for passengers to cuddle. While Charlotte Douglas has an enormously popular Canine Crew comprised of 31 four legged volunteers, it was the first Kitten Cuddle at CLT. As part of the fun, cat ear head bands were gifted to customers.

The event sought to bring smiles to passengers and along the way educate travelers about pet adoption. Two cats were adopted during the event. CMPD Animal Care & Control currently has more than 250 cats and dogs seeking a loving home.
