Charlotte Douglas International Airport continues to monitor weather conditions related to Winter Storm Diego. Passengers are encouraged to check with their airline for flight information and follow CLT's twitter feed (@CLTAirport) or check below for the latest news.

 

Latest Updates

Monday, 12/10/2018

4:20pm:

  • Most airlines have resumed full operations. Some flight cancellations, however, are scheduled for tonight. Please visit  flightaware as well as the FAA real time flight information map for updates.
  • Travelers are encouraged to check with their air carrier for any cancellations or delays before coming to the Airport.
  • The Airport's airfield, roadways, overpasses and parking lots have been cleared of snow and ice.
  • Seventy-one aircraft were deiced earlier today with deicing operations ceasing this afternoon around 1:30 p.m.
  • All three parallel runways are open.
  • Charlotte Douglas snow teams will deactivate at 6 p.m.   
  • CLT continues to work with its partners and airlines to accommodate passengers.

11:15am:

  • Some flight cancellations are scheduled for today. Most airlines are planning to resume full operations by noon. Please visit  flightaware as well as the FAA real time flight information map for updates.
  • American Airlines has announced it will begin to normalize this morning, with scatted cancellations expected throughout the day at CLT (American's second largest hub). The majority of these cancellations will be on smaller, regional aircraft.
  • Travelers are encouraged to frequently check with their air carrier for any cancellations or delays before coming to the Airport.
  • Last night airport staff worked to clear the airfield, airport roadways, overpasses and parking lots of snow and ice.
  • Deicing operations have resumed this morning.
  • All three of the Airport's parallel runways are currently open.  
  • CLT continues to work with its partners and airlines to accommodate passengers.

  • Airport staff continues to clear the airfield, airport roadways, overpasses and parking lots of snow and ice.
  • Deicing of aircraft is ongoing. CLT has deiced 80 aircraft today and will resume deicing operations in the morning if requested.
  • Two of the Airport's parallel runways are currently open, and the third will open as needed.

  • Deicing of aircraft has been ongoing through this afternoon. CLT has deiced approximately 60 aircraft today.

  • The Airport's snow teams have been activated.

  • American Airlines has currently reduced its operation at CLT (American's second largest hub). Scattered cancellations are expected through Monday morning. The majority of these cancellations will be on smaller, regional aircraft.
  • Throughout the night Airport staff will clear the airfield, airport roadways, overpasses and parking lots as needed.
  • Deicing of aircraft has begun and is expected to continue tomorrow on Runway 5/23.
  • CLT continues to work with its partners and airlines to accommodate passengers.
  • Conditions are subject to change and travelers are encouraged to frequently check with their air carrier for any cancellations or delays before coming to the Airport.

  • American Airlines recently announced plans to reduce its operation at CLT (American's second largest hub) starting Saturday evening. Scattered cancellations are expected through Monday morning. The majority of these cancellations will be on smaller, regional aircraft.
  • Airport roadways, overpasses and parking lots were pretreated last night. Pretreatment of the airfield takes places tonight.
  • Deicing of aircraft has yet to begin.
  • CLT continues to work with its partners and airlines to accommodate passengers.
