Description: Charlotte, and more broadly North Carolina, has been home to many different people over the centuries. A variety of ethnic groups laid the cultural foundations of the region in the past 400+ years. Heritage4Charlotte integrates motifs drawn from the rich visual traditions of these diverse groups in large-scale sculptural elements composed of carved limestone, fabricated stainless steel, cast bronze, and light.

Commissioned by the Arts & Science Council and the Public Art Commission in partnership with the City of Charlotte.
