Volunteer Opportunities

Airport Volunteers

Jane and June 1 Since 2005, Airport Volunteers at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) have assisted millions of travelers flying through the Queen City. Airport Volunteers welcome passengers, answer questions, and provide directional assistance. They offer a friendly smile, point out gate locations, make restaurant recommendations, and promote CLT's many services and amenities.
Serving at CLT is an exciting and rewarding experience. Comprised equally of women and men of all ages and backgrounds, Airport Volunteers enjoy flexible scheduling with many great benefits, including free parking and uniform shirt, discounts at select concessions, continuing education opportunities, invitations to special events and more.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old, serve three shifts per month (each shift is four hours), and make an initial six-month commitment. Shifts are available everyday between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The program is looking for outgoing adults who like interacting with people from all over the world in a fast-paced environment. The application process is selective and positions are filled as openings become available. Applicants and volunteers are subject to security screenings and background checks.

For information about the program or becoming a volunteer, email volunteer@cltairport.com.

Passengers requiring special assistance such as a wheelchair service or a gate escort should contact their airlines directly.
