Valet parking at CLT just got a glow-up!

Improvements to the Airport’s premium parking product began in August 2024 and wrapped up in mid-March.

Drivers can enter the Valet area via the Valet ramp on level 1 of the Hourly Deck and will quickly notice an enhanced experience.

“It’s still going to operate in the same footprint, but the passenger experience will be better because the space is being renovated and brought up to a better standard, more of a red-carpet type of experience that’s more in line with the Terminal Lobby Expansion itself,” said CLT’s Parking & Ground Transportation Revenue Manager Garrett DiCorpo. “We’re using the same materials, the same terrazzo flooring, the same wall paneling, so it all blends in seamlessly.”

Enhanced Design

The refined aesthetics include additional seating, improved signage, sliding glass doors, flight information displays and a custom LED light canopy over the drop-off/pick-up area. Travelers will see new steel safety bollards and a permanent service counter. The Valet parking product will continue to include complimentary EV charging and luggage assistance, while customers can opt to pay for a vehicle wash and detailing service.

The Valet price will remain the same for now - a $45 max daily rate. The ultra-convenient option allows you to drop off your keys with the attendant and go. Travelers will now have direct private access to the east underground walkway to access escalators/elevators up to the terminal lobby.

Parking Administrator Andy Fox stated that while travelers are encouraged to pre-book Valet parking to secure the best rates and a guaranteed parking space, the drive-up option will remain available since customers sometimes do not realize they need Valet parking—until they do.

“We want to be here as a last-minute drive-up option for that panicking traveler,” said Fox. “Whether it’s a family of four that can’t afford to miss their flight, or maybe someone’s business depends on not missing that flight.”

Convenient Time-Saver

Out of nearly 25,000 parking spots at CLT, approximately 1,200 are allocated to the terminal's Valet location. An additional 1,200 spots are available at Express Deck Preferred — a Valet service that provides a shuttle to and from the terminal.

With a record 58.8 million passengers traveling through CLT in 2024, the Valet option, which was once seen as a "luxury," has become a favorite choice or even a necessity for some business and leisure travelers.

“People become stressed when they travel, and they want convenience. Valet allows them to get in and out quickly,” said Fox. “Once passengers arrive back at CLT, they’re just ready to get home.”
