Taxis & Taxi Rates

Taxi service is available on the Arrivals/Baggage Claim level outer curb in Zone 1. Taxi service primarily operates daily from 5am to midnight but may be available during off peak hours.

There are six taxi companies available through the Airport’s taxi queue: City Cab, Crown Cab, Green Cab, Yellow Cab, Orange Cab and Royal Cab. These companies are evaluated annually to ensure all taxis have a GPS system, credit card technology and adhere to guidelines set forth by CLT.

Yes. While taxis are readily available on the curb, you may also pre-arrange service directly with participating companies.

Yes. Wheelchair-accessible taxis are available. You can request these directly from our Parking Dispatch Office 704-359-4038.

Yes, all major credit cards are accepted including American Express, Discover, MasterCard and VISA.

Standard fares from the Airport:

• $32 flat rate to Uptown (within the I 277 loop)

• $16 flat rate for trips within a 3 mile radius of CLT

• A $2.50 airport fee applies to all trips

$3.50 initial charge

• $0.70 per 1/5 mile
• $0.70 per minute when stopped or in traffic

Additional fees may apply for multiple passengers or special services.
