Nature vs Nurture refers to a long-standing philosophical debate on whether human behavior is determined by the environment or the interpersonal relationships that define one's lived experiences. In this installation it becomes a play on words, acting as a conceptual framework that acknowledges both the important and defining economic and commercial industries of Charlotte, North Carolina and it’s stunning natural ecology, flora and fauna, and native wildlife. At the root of the debate on which this installation is based, is the belief that it is a successful combination of the two concepts which engenders the most effective, balanced, and favorable versions of humanity.
