Airport Parking Rates to Increase March 1

CHARLOTTE, NC – Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) will implement increased daily maximum parking rates across its lots and decks beginning March 1. The updated pricing reflects rising operational costs and shifting demand, while allowing the airport to reinvest in parking facilities to enhance safety, infrastructure, reliability and the overall passenger experience. Even with the adjustment, CLT remains among the most affordable hub airports for parking. The last rate change came in November 2023.

“We know parking is an important part of the travel experience, and we’re committed to making it as convenient and dependable as possible,” said Ted Kaplan, CLT Chief Business and Innovation Officer. “These adjustments allow us to continue investing in our parking facilities while maintaining competitive rates, and our focus remains on safety, reliability and a positive customer experience.”

CLT is seeing a shift toward more local passenger traffic, with approximately 35% of passengers now originating their trips in Charlotte and 65% connecting through the airport. As an enterprise fund of the City of Charlotte, the Airport is financially self-sufficient and does not collect local tax dollars.

Updated Daily Maximum Parking Rate effective March 1 (previous rates in parentheses):

• Valet – $50 ($45) Available for pre-book and drive-up
• Hourly Deck – $35 ($32) Available for pre-book and drive-up
• Daily Deck – $28 ($20) Pre-book only
• Express Deck Preferred – $24 (no change) Pre-book only
• Express Deck Self-Park – $24 ($20) Pre-book only
• Daily North – $18 ($14) Drive-up only
• Long Term 1 – $14 ($12) Pre-book only
• Long Term 2 – $14 ($12) Drive-up only

Except for Valet parking, all lots and decks are free for the first 15 minutes.

Passengers are strongly encouraged to reserve parking online in advance. Of the Airport’s 25,000 parking spots, approximately 16,000 are available for online booking. The Royalty Program allows travelers to earn rewards with points earned by booking CLT Airport parking online at parkCLT.com or on the CLT Airport app. Currently, over 250,000 passengers are enrolled in the Royalty Program and approximately 65% of all parking is reserved online.
