How long have you worked at CLT? 4.5 years

What originally attracted you to working at CLT?
I was attracted by the excitement of working at the Airport, former co-workers who transferred to CLT and working back in the vicinity where I was born and grew-up. I graduated from West Mecklenburg High School before graduating from UNCC.

Describe your typical workday.
Really, there is no typical day being a construction project manager. Every day presents new challenges with work going on 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Our CLT development team continually solves problems that arise each day. That is my main job. Other daily activities include providing coordination efforts between designers, engineers, operations and security, keeping up with schedules and trying to stay ahead of problems.

What do you like most about working at CLT?
The teamwork it takes to get these massive projects complete is what I like most about working at CLT. Our development team has great people who are knowledgeable and hardworking to accomplish any goals/deadlines that is set before us. We work hard, but have a great time doing it.

What daily attitude, saying, motto do you bring to your job?
Handwork, dedication and a can-do attitude.

What keeps you at CLT?
The people, my co-workers and the comradery we have keep me at CLT, not to mention the excitement of working at an airport.

What makes the city of Charlotte a special place to live/work?
Again, I think it’s the relationships I have built with my co-workers.

What is the best advice you’ve gotten from someone since starting work at CLT?
With all the projects and massive amounts of work we have, the best advice I’ve received is, “Just remember it’s a marathon not a sprint.”

If you could hop on a plane and fly anywhere, where would you fly and why?
I went to Hawaii on my honeymoon years ago. I would like to go back with the kids now.
