Largest Admirals Club Lounge Coming to CLT

CLT may be American Airlines' second-largest hub, but it will soon be home to its largest Admirals Club® Lounge. This will offer passengers even more space to work and relax in Charlotte during their travel day.

American has announced plans to build a massive 40,000-plus-square-foot lounge on the Mezzanine level of the Airport’s atrium, offering expansive views that overlook the airfield and bustling terminal below. Construction will begin later this year.

According to the Airline, the new space's design will draw inspiration from Charlotte and feature elements that reflect the Queen City’s tree canopy, textile heritage and southern charm.

American Airlines has previously announced plans for a Flagship® Lounge at CLT. Its current lounges, including Provisions by Admirals Club® near Gate A-1 and the Admirals Club® Lounges on Concourse B and Concourse C/D, will remain open during construction.

Capital One Coming Soon

A Capital One Lounge (rendering below) is currently under construction on the mezzanine level of Concourse A, near Gates A-21 though A-29.Capital One Lounge at CLT Interior

The 14,000-square-foot lounge is expected to feature expansive airfield views, locally influenced menus and dedicated workspaces. No opening date has been announced.

The Capital One Lounge will join numerous other offerings at CLT Airport, including:

  • American Airlines Admirals Club (Concourse B and Concourse D)
  • American Express Centurion Lounge (Concourse D/E Connector)
  • Delta Sky Club (Concourse A)
  • Provisions by Admirals Club (Concourse A, at Gate A-1)
  • The Club at CLT (A Connector)

USO Center Relocating

After twenty years in the upper level of the Atrium, the USO Center at CLT will relocate to the lower level of the terminal and hopes to expand beyond its current 3,000 square feet as it enters its next decade.

It is one of three Airport USO Centers in North Carolina and the busiest among more than 250 USO Centers worldwide. The USO Center is open 365 days a year from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and is staffed by about 300 volunteers. Visit the CLT USO Center or USO.org.
